Gunyah Country Estate is the perfect venue for your special event. Our private, secluded location, amidst beautiful gardens with stunning views is suitable for all sorts of special occasions.

So please consider us when planning your wedding, celebrating a special birthday an anniversary or even a corporate event as we can make sure your special event is memorable for all the right reasons.

We also run day trips and group tours as there are very few homes of this calibre open to the general public in New Zealand. Listed as a Canterbury Edwardian homestead, the house is very original, even retaining some original wallpaper and has been furnished throughout with early New Zealand and English furniture of the same period. There are also 7 very interesting outbuildings some of which pre-date the house itself, including a granary, stables and wagon shed.
